Celebrating 150 Years

Today we celebrate the local Church of St. Augustine on its foundation anniversary.

This pilgrim Church which is always on the way. Striving to be one, holy, catholic and apostolic.

Wanting always to be united to the successor of Peter and to our bishop.

Always focused on the proclamation of the Gospel and the celebration of the Eucharist in all places.

Truly reflecting our vast and expansive catholicity by embracing our diversity of the total body of Christ.

Desiring that others may experience because of how we witness: that we are a sign and instrument of the presence of Christ, to praise and glory the triune God!

Our name is St. Augustine and it is our blessing for like him we deeply thirst for the living God whom we love first.

In these fifteen decades we are tied together in Jesus Christ who is the same yesterday, today and forever (Heb. 13:8).

We are blessed by the loving presence of the Mother of the Lord, Our Lady of La Leche who makes our diocese truly Marian.
