In a world where many are wandering about looking for identity and belonging amidst polarization and relational failures, confusion of beliefs, skyrocketing loneliness, depression, and anxiety, there is hope!  Learn from historic Christianity about a rock solid foundation of truth upon which to understand yourself and your reason for being.  Be inspired to move from regret and disillusionment, to hope born anew.

Hosts

Fr. Mayer grew up as a devout Pentecostal and then went on a quest of belief that included secularism and atheism, various forms of Christianity, and then served for a time as an Episcopal Priest before coming into the Catholic Church. He now considers himself to be a happy Catholic.

Haitham (or Jimmy as you may know him) was born in Oman to a Baptist mother and Muslim father and grew up Christian, but found himself confused by contradictory beliefs among Christians, and politicized Christianity. This led to him abandoning faith and a dark decade of being reckless and lost. However, all this changed with discoveries that he made. Come and hear his story.

Audience: This is a great opportunity, especially if you are secular leaning (spiritual, but not church attending), though Protestants (those attending a non-Catholic Christian Church) would also benefit. This workshop will help you to better understand the world and is designed to bring those of various beliefs together in this quest for truth, goodness, and beauty. These workshops tend to be full, so RSVP as soon as possible to assure your spot..

Food & RSVP Deadline: Turkey and roast beef sub sliders from Publix catering, chips, water, soda (need special accommodations? Please ask :-). Space is limited so please let us know to reserve your spot. This also helps us know how much food to order. Please confirm as soon as possible, but no later than September 25, 2024 if you are planning to attend: [email protected] or call or text 904-999-1423.
