Becoming Catholic

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)
Are you interested in learning more about the Catholic Church? Are you answering a
call to become Catholic but are not sure how or where to begin? If you are, please
consider attending the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA). The Catholic
Church uses the RCIA Process to instruct and welcome new members. RCIA provides
instruction that covers all major aspects of the Catholic Faith, an opportunity to ask
questions about the Faith, and a parish community who will support you on your
journey.

At St. Joseph's Catholic Church, RCIA Meetings are on Sundays in the Marian Chapel of the Main Church from 9-11
a.m. and includes participation in the 10:00 a.m. Mass Liturgy of the Word.

The first meeting and formal start to the RCIA Class of 2020 will be on Sunday, September 15.

Refresh

Are you a confirmed Catholic who has questions about your faith? Would you like to
be refreshed on major aspects of your faith? NEW THIS YEAR: St. Joseph’s is offering
the opportunity for any parishioner to come and REFRESH his/her understanding of our
Catholic Faith. The REFRESH group will join the RCIA catechumens and candidates on
Sundays at 9:00 a.m. in the Marian Chapel of the Main Church to receive instruction
about our Catholic Faith. Our very own Father John Sollee will be teaching many of
these classes. The REFRESH group will then be dismissed at 10:00 a.m. to give them
the opportunity to attend the 10:00 a.m. Mass. The first meeting will begin on Sunday,
September 22.
