A nine day novena and consecration to the Blessed Virgin of Buen Suceso (the Good Event) of the Purification (February 2nd). In several apparitions of Our Lady to Mother Marianna de Jesus Torres (1563–1635), a Conceptionist Sister in Quito, Ecuador, Our Lady requested that she be invoked under the title of Buen Suceso. During these apparitions, Mother Marianna was chosen as a victim for the Church in the Twentieth Century, and was told that this Devotion would only become known then. Souls of that time were promised special help. This is one of the less known apparitions of Mary, since the visionary desired that the apparition be hidden from the world until the proper time. Devotion to this apparition is now being discovered and increasing in popularity.
