Month of the Most Precious Blood 
 
The month of July is dedicated to the Precious Blood of Jesus. The feast of the Precious Blood of our Lord was instituted in 1849 by Pius IX, but the devotion is as old as Christianity. The early Fathers say that the Church was born from the pierced side of Christ, and that the sacraments were brought forth through His Blood.
 
"The Precious Blood which we worship is the Blood which the Savior shed for us on Calvary and reassumed at His glorious Resurrection; it is the Blood which courses through the veins of His risen, glorified, living Body at the right hand of God the Father in Heaven; it is the Blood made present on our altars by the words of Consecration; it is the Blood which merited Sanctifying Grace for us and through It washes and beautifies our soul and inaugurates the beginning of eternal life in it."

A workshop especially for non-Catholic Christians!

Led by Father Mayer, pastor of St. James Catholic Church who grew up as a devout Pentecostal, then served for a time as an Episcopal Priest before coming into the Catholic Church.

Day of Healing
 
Father Martin Ibeh is offering this retreat in place of this month’s First Friday Healing Mass and Adoration.

- Date: Saturday, July 15, 2023
- Time: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
- Location:St. Joseph Carmelite Monastery, 141 Carmelite Dr., Bunnell, FL 32110
 
The day will include Mass, Adoration, testimonies, group discussion and blessing of sacramentals such as rosaries and candles. Dr. Mary Shaw, an international Charismatic Catholic speaker, will give a talk on the obstacles to healing. The retreat will conclude with a healing service where people can be prayed over by a priest to receive God’s Healing Touch.
